On the story of Cristina Golinucci, "who knows how to speak".
This is what the Diocese of Cesena is asking in the light of the reopening by the Forlì prosecutor's office of the investigation into the murder of the young woman, who disappeared at the age of 21 on 1 September 1992 in front of the convent of the Capuchin friars in the Romagna city.
The Church of Cesena, it is written in a note, "reaffirms its strong closeness and solidarity with the people involved and their families and the hope that the truth will be reached as soon as possible. At the same time, the Diocese invites anyone who may be in possession of information useful to investigations to take an active part in the competent offices".
In the opinion of the Romagna Diocese "the reopening of the investigations and the emergence of new testimonies could be connected, as far as appears and is known, with the case of the young woman from the parish of Ronta di Cesena. Last September 1st, thirtieth anniversary of the disappearance of Cristina - it is observed - the bishop Monsignor Douglas Regattieri celebrated Mass for the young woman of whom there is no more news".
In particular, the note points out, "with the reopening of the investigations which fear even the shadow of abuse, the Diocese reaffirms its strong closeness and solidarity with the people involved and their families and the hope that the truth will be reached as soon as possible. At the same time - it is reiterated - the Diocese invites anyone who may be in possession of information useful for the investigation to take an active part in the competent offices".
In this regard, it is the comment, "the Diocese recalls that for over three years the Diocesan Service for the protection of minors has been active, called to collaborate with the various ecclesial realities in promoting a culture of care and respect for minors and vulnerable people" .
