At 80, Daniel Roth, one of the greatest organists in the capital - father of conductor François-Xavier Roth, is retiring from the tribune of Saint-Sulpice, in Paris.
He will remain the titular organist emeritus, the parish said.

Especially after having spent almost 40 years there

The young Pole has been appointed to succeed him, alongside his illustrious elder Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin.
