(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 17 - "Europe wants to be the bearer of peace, of the rule of law. We defend freedom and international law and for this we defend Ukraine, it is a candidate country and we want peace to arrive there too".
This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at the presentation of the "Esperienza Europa" space in Rome, dedicated to David Sassoli.
"If we help that country, we do it because we don't want there to be a surrender but because there is a negotiation", added Tajani launching an appeal to "be optimistic, we must all commit ourselves to reach an agreement".
