Carnival forecast: after the cold, highs of more than 30 degrees are coming in the AMBA

The cold spell that surprised a large part of the country in the middle of summer seems to have receded, and what remains of the XL weekend of Carnival will have more usual temperatures for summer.

For Tuesday, the last day of the extra-long holiday for Carnival, partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 21 degrees minimum and

31 maximum

are announced .

How will the week continue?

With more heat

On Wednesday a window of 22 to 32 degrees is expected and on Thursday the peak could reach 33. Only on Friday is the arrival of rain and a slight drop in temperature expected.

The cold left 30 records

The streak of cold days left some records in the country.

Yesterday morning, for example, 30 cities registered the lowest temperatures in their history for the month of February, in the context of the presence of an unusual cold air front for the summer season that caused extreme drops in temperatures, especially in the central region of the country, and also generated the first snowfall of the year in Patagonia.

According to the report of the meteorological agency, a record was also recorded in Venado Tuerto (3.5), Sauce Viejo (5.6), Sunchales (6.1), Rafaela (7) and Reconquista (7.3) in Santa Fe. ;

in the La Rioja localities of Chamical (4.7) and the capital of the province (6.1);

the Mendoza Observatory (5.5);

the capital of San Juan (5.5);

Presidency Roque Sáenz Peña (6.2) and Resistencia (8.5) in Chaco.

Likewise, Bernardo de Irigoyen (6.9) in Misiones;

Ituzaingó (8.5), Monte Caseros (8.8) and the capital (10.4) of Corrientes;

Metan (9) and Tartagal (9.4) in Salta;

and the capital of Formosa (9.4).

The towns that marked the greatest temperature difference today with respect to their previous record recorded in February were the capital of Córdoba, which went from 6.3 degrees on February 20, 1971 to 1.6;

while Junín went from 5 degrees in 1966 to 1.6;

Chamical from 8.9 in 2007 to 4.7;

La Rioja from 9.5 in 1993 to 6.1;

and Sunchales from 9.6 to 6.1.
