The US military has announced it has conducted a helicopter raid in eastern Syria that resulted in the capture of an ISIS leader.
This is reported by Fox news.
The news comes two days after another American operation in the country in which one of the commanders of the Islamic State was killed.
The US Central Command (Centcom) announced that the raid was conducted in collaboration with the Syrian army and that no civilians or soldiers were killed or injured.
The ISIS commander has been identified by the name of Batar.
