Many areas of life have been significantly more expensive than before for several months.
This is also noticeable when shopping in the supermarket or discounter.
Kohlrabi for 1.19 euros or a cauliflower for a whopping 4.99 euros are no longer uncommon.
Promises such as those made by Edeka to offer products at discount prices do not always correspond to reality.
A customer was amazed when he saw the price of a cucumber, as reported by tz.de.

The customer shared a picture of the cucumber and the price on Facebook: 2.49 euros per cucumber.
"Now if that thing isn't gold, potency enhancing, and making my hair grow back, then I want to know what's so special about it," he captioned the image.
Because the product is a conventional cucumber from Spain.
"It's not organic, not from the vegetable stand and not from the delicatessen in the center of Munich.
It's the 'standard pickle' made in Spain from the supermarket around the corner.”
"Over 7,000 products at discount prices" promises Edeka in its advertising.
Obviously the cucumber is not one of them.
In the comments, Facebook users exchange ideas about the cucumber.
"Amazing, more price increases than heating oil and gas," writes a user in disbelief.
"In Straubing you only pay 1.59 euros for the standard cucumber.
Organic only costs 1.39 euros,” another user compared the price.

Humor is also shown towards the award.
