The words of Julia Faustyna, a 21-year-old Polish girl, once again reopen the story of little

Madeleine McCann, the almost four-year-old British girl who disappeared in Portugal in 2007

.

For detectives Maddie would have been killed shortly after her disappearance by German pedophile Christian Brueckner, but Julia is convinced it's her: "I have to do a DNA test. British and Polish investigators ignore me. Help me".

To tell her story, the 21-year-old opened an Instagram profile, @Iammadeleinemcan, where she has already shared 49 posts and, in one week, she has collected more than 714,000 followers.

Julia said she became suspicious after some allusions made by her grandmother and, from that moment, she began to notice physical characteristics that would bring her closer to the girl who disappeared 16 years ago.

The coincidences wouldn't stop there.

In support of her beliefs she has published photos with details that would prove her true identity

Of her: "I have an eye defect, the same as Madeleine had - wrote Julia. Only that in my case it disappears every year".

To connect the two there would also be an identical birthmark on the leg, says the young woman.

Julia confessed to having been abused by a man with the surname Ney, the same surname as Martin, a prime suspect in Maddie's kidnapping, later cleared.

An element that the Polish girl sees as another parallel with the story of the English girl.

Some passages of her story, however, don't add up

.

Starting from her age: Maddie would have been 19 today and not 21 and Julia would have gone to kindergarten in Poland, in Wroclaw, while the British girl was being kidnapped.

The 21-year-old also gives her interpretation on this aspect: her age on her documents would be false and her kindergarten teacher would have confessed to her that she only went to school from September 2007 to July 2008.

Maddie's case dominated the news for many years: the little girl disappeared from a holiday home in the Algarve, Portugal, while her parents Kate and Gerry McCann were having dinner a few tens of meters away.

Although German investigations concluded that the culprit was Brueckner (already in prison for other crimes when the announcement was made), her body has never been found

.

Julia claims to be in contact with a cousin of Madeleine, who would have spoken of a possibility of comparing her DNA with that of the child's parents.

And she now asks to do those tests to remove that doubt that grips her while from Great Britain Maddie's family remains silent.
