Although David Gilmour recently called the British musician "anti-Semitic, a liar and a hypocrite", this came against an article in which it was claimed that he called his guitar solos as threats • "It's not about me, I was there"

After being attacked online by David Gilmour and his wife, Roger Waters defends his bandmate and praises his work.

• The son of Roger Waters from "Pink Floyd" in a special interview for "Shishab": "After 50 years - the music and the words remain relevant"

• We didn't expect this: you won't believe which band is working on a new album

In the post that Waters published yesterday (Sunday), he referred to an article written about a new recording released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of "Dark Side Of The Moon", the iconic album of the Pink Floyd band.

"Written, if you can call it writing, a bad article published in the New Statesman (a British weekly dealing with politics and culture, p.a.) by a chap named Stuart McConey," Waters wrote.

"This is factually challenged nonsense that seeks conflict. Nevertheless, there is something in the article that I need to correct and tell the truth about."

Waters goes on to say that the article dealing with his new recording for the 1973 album condescendingly refers to the process of recording the new album and the actions he performed while working on the project.

He cites a sentence from the text attributed to Waters, which allegedly says that some of the changes made included "the removal of David Gilmour's horrible guitar solos".

"I don't know who he thinks he's quoting when he says 'horrible guitar solos,' but I sure as hell ain't me. I was there," he wrote.

"I like David's guitar solos on the album, and also those that appear on the band's other albums."

Waters also added in the post: "In my unbiased opinion, David's guitar solos on these albums are considered some of the best playing pieces in the history of rock 'n' roll."

From here the singer ends by calling McConee a "little piece of scumbag", and advises him to check the facts before he publishes an article.

As you may recall, a few weeks ago Gilmore and his partner, Polly Samson, attacked Waters in a series of tweets on Twitter.

They wrote: "Unfortunately, Roger Waters, you are anti-Semitic to your rotten core. You also support Putin, a megalomaniac, a liar, a thief, a hypocrite, a tax raiser and a jealous misogynist. Enough with your rants."

In response, Waters posted a message on his Instagram account in which he wrote that he was considering how to respond to the comments.
