Sunday, February 19, it was a real contest of elegance that was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the occasion of the 76th ceremony of the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA Awards).
On the red carpet of the event, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore and Emma Thompson played the card of timeless chic in black and white.
Impossible, however, to compete with Kate Middleton.
Arriving on the arm of her husband William, the Princess of Wales captured all eyes in a floaty white dress worn with a pair of black evening gloves and a pair of gold flower earrings.
An outfit with the unadorned elegance of great opera evenings that is reminiscent of the Hollywood glamor of an Audrey Hepburn.
But also, and as often with Kate Middleton, a recycled outfit.

A dress reviewed and corrected by the workshops
It's no secret that the Princess of Wales never misses an opportunity to wear the pieces from her wardrobe again.
On the BAFTA red carpet this Sunday, February 19, Kate Middleton opted for an Alexander McQueen dress that she already wore on the occasion of the same ceremony, in 2019. To avoid repetition, she turned to the brand's workshops to make a change: remove the flowers that adorned her shoulder and replace them with a silk veil.
This modification work is not a first for the British brand.
The flowered dress in which the princess went to the Baftas in 2017, had, for example, been transformed for the Portrait Gala in 2019.
A manifesto for recycling, Kate Middleton's look is also a plea in favor of accessorizing.
The Duchess has chosen a long pair of opera gloves popularized in the 1960s by Hollywood actresses (from Sarah Bernhardt to Audrey Hepburn), and which is making a comeback on the fashion scene.
Something to cleverly update your outfit.
Another detail and not the least: the Princess of Wales leaves aside the crown jewels and goes to the accessible sign Zara for her pair of earrings.
A monarchical wardrobe that never loses sight of reason: a message written in black on white.
