C'est pas la mairie
, one of the tracks from the Marseille rapper's last album, the two artists met in Toul, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, but without any authorization.
Four people were taken into custody for 24 hours this week and an investigation to find the organizers has been opened.
According to France 3,
"Jul will soon be summoned to the Toul police station to explain himself about this undeclared filming".
Shooting a clip of the most listened to artist in 2022 in a sub-prefecture of Lorraine seems like a surprising choice.
It is much less so when you know that KVRA, one of the rappers with whom Jul collaborates on his latest album,
Cœur Blanc
, is from there.
And the arrival of Jul in this town of 16,000 inhabitants did not go unnoticed.
On the day of the shooting, more than 500 people came to see him.
Videos showing fans of the Marseille rapper in the middle of an urban rodeo have circulated on social networks.
If the fans were delighted to see their favorite rapper arrive, the local authorities were much less.
“
They did not ask for the authorizations
”, tells Aldé Harmand, the mayor of Toul, to France 3 Lorraine, affirming that the two rappers “
endangered the lives of the inhabitants during urban rodeos in the crowd
”.
The Nancy BAC police officers share this opinion.
“Urban rodeos are a scourge.
They come back every year on sunny days.
With unapproved motorcycles, without license plates,”
says Régis Peiffer.
But thanks to surveillance cameras, some vehicles present during the filming have been identified.
KVRA,
"auditioned as a free listener while in police custody",
admitted having been
"overwhelmed by the facts
".
For the policeman, convinced that it is necessary "
to set up a local security group in Toul
", this "shows that
he himself has not measured the extent of the danger
".
