Social comedy
By taking on the worlds of Woody Allen and Darren Star as well, Taffy Brodesser-Akner succeeds in telling the decomposition of a modern couple against a background of ultra-talkative social comedy.
As in her novel, the author enlightens the viewer on the personality of Rachel by having the character of Libby speak in voiceover, and thus signs a deeply feminist series.
