(ANSA) - MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 20 - Russia's GDP contracted by 2.1% in 2022 according to data released today by the Rosstat state statistical institute.
A better figure than that disclosed in recent days by the Central Bank, which had spoken of a drop of 2.5%.
For 2023, the Central Bank forecasts a figure between -1% and +1%.
According to the IMF, however, the Russian economy will grow by 0.3% this year.
