The debate on the sustainable evolution of cities kicks off in Bergamo.

A transformation that "must start from the convergence of knowledge that leads to the construction of a new urban fabric in which architecture, energy, mobility, efficiency and sociality merge".

Hence the talk "Let's talk about the sustainable city", organized by ABB on 22 February at 4.00 pm, streamed on the ANSA.it website.

In Italy there is still a lot to do on smart cities: in the latest global ranking drawn up in 2022 (Iese Cities In Motion Index), which sees London in first place followed by New York and Paris, to find an Italian city you have to go at the 57th position, where Milan is, behind many other European cities.

To address the urban development trends that are already guiding cities towards sustainable and efficient models, ABB has decided to involve the architect Stefano Boeri and the mayor of Bergamo Giorgio Gori.

To animate the debate, alongside them, Maria Cristina Papetti, head of Global Sustainability Enel Grids, who addresses the issue of the challenges associated with the growth in demand for electricity, and Guido Davoglio, technical director of Tekser,

which illustrates the enabling technologies to support sustainable electrification.

To do the honors, the senior vice president of Abb Italia, Gianluca Lilli, who brings the voice of a multinational group with historical roots in Italy.
