A fatal accident occurred this Sunday afternoon on the road to the
Altas Cumbres, in Córdoba
, in the middle of the long Carnival weekend: a 30-year-old tourist died after losing control of the car and crashing into the mountain at the height of the kilometer 5 of route E-34.
The victim and her three companions had arrived from the province of Buenos Aires and were traveling from the city of Córdoba to Mina Clavero.

The report from the Police and the emergency service that arrived at the scene confirmed that the
30-year-old tourist who was driving the vehicle died on the spot
.
The remaining occupants of the car suffered different injuries and were transferred, initially to the Mina Clavero Hospital.

Two of the injured presented
serious symptoms
and were referred: the 31-year-old woman to the San Antonio de Padua Hospital, in Río Cuarto;
and the 34-year-old man, to the emergency room in Córdoba capital.
The last of the tourists (31 years old) only had some bodily bruises: he is out of danger and was under observation at the Mina Clavero hospital.
The initial tests of the San Alberto Department of the Police indicated that for reasons that are trying to be established, the Citroen C4 that had been traveling along route E-34, around 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, lost control and crashed into a rocky wall located on the side of the causeway of the Altas Cumbres.
The local Police, Volunteer Firefighters from Mina Clavero and members of the Technical Team for Catastrophe Action (ETAC) participated in the scene.
