Two alpacas were stolen in Emstek in the Cloppenburg district.
The animals were stolen from a stable on a fenced pasture, the police said.
It is therefore a light brown female and a silver-grey male.
Investigators believe the animals were stolen between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The police are looking for witnesses who saw something suspicious.
“There were 22 animals in the stable – they took the two lightest with them,” said Christina Klövekorn from Herzog-Alpakas GbR, which owns the stolen animals.
According to her, the perpetrators broke into the barn, switched off the surveillance camera and fled with the animals.
These are two valuable alpaca foals.
In the meantime, a reward totaling 6,000 euros has been offered, said Klövekorn.
