(ANSA) - NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 20 - Israeli settlements are an "obstacle" to peace.
This is the complaint contained in a declaration unanimously adopted by the UN Security Council.
"Israel's continued settlement activities jeopardize the feasibility of the two-state solution," the Council said in the statement, which does not have the binding scope of the resolution considered last week, whose vote was canceled after US diplomatic mediation between Israelis and Palestinians.
