A closer look is worthwhile!

A Kaufland customer did it in Leverkusen with her receipt and warns other consumers.

Leverkusen - Mistakes happen everywhere.

It doesn't matter whether people are involved or machines or both.

A truism.

And of course that also applies to the price calculation in the supermarket.

It is not uncommon for a different amount to appear on the receipt than on the shelf or in the prospectus.

And it's not uncommon for customers to get really stinky about it.

"Please be careful": Kaufland customer advises consumers to check the receipt carefully

The next hackneyed phrase: trust is good, control is better.

This was followed by a Kaufland customer at the Leverkusen branch.

And warned the other residents of the city in a large public Facebook group.

"Hello everyone," she writes.

"Please be careful when shopping in Kaufland Leverkusen."

The own-brand Irish butter is on sale at Kaufland, reduced to 1.49 euros, reports tz.de.

However, a price of 2.49 euros appeared on the receipt.

"I paid €1 more per piece," the customer calculates - but thanks to her vigilance, she was reimbursed her two euros for two pieces of butter at the information desk.

The details and the authenticity of the receipt have not been confirmed, but at least one handwritten entry can be seen on it: 2.49 euros crossed out, 1.49 euros scribbled on.

The notice is from February 9th - it is quite possible that the Kaufland branch corrected the error or that the butter price has changed since then anyway.

But one thing remains: the tip to check the receipt carefully so as not to pay too much unnoticed.

With so many articles and such a complex system, price glitches like this also happen to supermarkets.

Checking the receipt: Consumers don't just discover errors at Kaufland

The post garnered more than 100 likes and more than 80 comments.

Some consumers have had similar negative experiences.

"Happens to me with almost every purchase.

That's why I check the receipt immediately at the cash register.

8 out of 10 receipts are wrong, no matter what market,” writes one.

Another customer is not on good terms with Kaufland: “It has happened to me very often at Kaufland.

That's why I rarely shop there."

Another customer expresses her suspicion: “Happens to us all the time in any supermarket and no matter what product is on offer.

I almost think it's a 'scam'”.

An alleged Rewe employee recently explained on Reddit how something like this came about.

Half of the complaints are “mistakes on the part of customers.

If the customer is right, it's because the price tag is broken or because an item was wrongly listed.”

Another Facebook user said: "There are a lot of shops that tell you to check the receipt ... if you don't do it, it's your own fault.

I've been doing this for years.

And humans are not perfect.” Kaufland recently “chased” a customer to Aldi with its signs.

A special "offer", on the other hand, caused a run.
