Today, American designers who graduated from Cranbrook continue to honor American modernism with a very experimental vision and a touch of craftsmanship that remains a constant in this current of creation.

Like an artisan, this 41-year-old designer assembles objects and plastic ready to be thrown away and covers them with thick jute or leather threads.

This inspiration was born in Cranbrook where she began her Savage series by emptying school trash cans to recycle the contents and sculpt extravagant, gothic, even animal pieces.

By using natural materials and an artisanal process, the artist gives his creations their little extra soul.

At 48, he is now a star.

His collaboration with the renowned New York gallery Friedman Benda was a springboard for him.

Since then, he has exhibited his phantasmagorical pieces every year at Design Miami and has just had his solo presentation at MAD in New York.
