(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 21 - The ECB expects no country in the euro area to fall into recession in 2023, and "intends" to raise rates by another half point in March in full determination to bring inflation back to 2%.
This was stated by the president of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, in an interview.
Lagarde noted that overall inflation has begun to slow down, and she reiterated that the ECB will decide what to do after March "on the basis of" macroeconomic data.
