This morning (Tuesday) a 46-year-old construction worker was killed at a construction site in Ma'alot Tarshiha after being injured by a concrete truck.
The MDA teams that were called to the scene treated him, but in a short time they had to pronounce him dead.
At 07:38, MDA received a report about a worker who was hit by a concrete truck at a construction site.
Medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene, provided medical treatment to the laborer who was in a serious condition due to unconsciousness, and performed resuscitation operations, which ultimately resulted in his death.
MDA paramedic Amit Orenstein and senior MDA medic Hana Hamisa said: "The worker was lying next to the truck unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing and suffering from a very severe multi-system injury. We gave him medical treatment and performed CPR but his injury was critical and in the end we had to determine his death."

This shocking event is added to another fatal work accident that happened yesterday at a construction site in the Har Huma neighborhood of Jerusalem, which also ended, unfortunately, in the death of a 50-year-old worker. According to the workers at the construction site, the worker
suffered a severe head injury as a result of a concrete pump pipe hitting him with great force.
He was rushed to Shaare Zedek Hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately he died at the end of the resuscitation efforts due to the nature of the severe injuries he suffered.
Ko LaOved's response to the fatal work accidents that occurred in the last two days:
"We send our condolences to the families of those killed at the construction sites in the last two days. The dead join the approximately 70 victims of serious work accidents from the beginning of 2023 at the construction sites in Israel, which proves that the climate of neglect at the construction sites continues."
"We call on Labor Minister Yoav Ben Tzur to take responsibility immediately and formulate a national plan to deal with the increasing number of work accidents in Israel, including increasing the number of inspectors, and imposing significant sanctions on safety violators. Workers should not go out to provide a living for their families and return home in a coffin."
