The owners of the Israela Cafe in Kfar Saba protested in Jerusalem, received a boycott threat with a sign of the So movement, and received a warm hug from the chain and customers in Israel. All the details in Walla's article! Food >>

Evacuation of protesters against the legal revolution at the Azrieli intersection in Tel Aviv.

February 20, 2023 (Kirin Sagi)

Yikki and Israela, the owners of the old coffee shop "Israela" in Kfar Saba, did an action yesterday that goes against every healthy commercial instinct, but befitting every patriotic impulse - they closed their cafe, and went out to demonstrate against what is for some reason called "legal reform", which is actually a "revolution which fundamentally changes the entire delicate balance on which the authorities in the State of Israel still function."

The reaction to their act, as was once unimaginable and today is not at all surprising, was the following shocking sign:

"Implied" threat.

The sign on the cafe

"Those who protest in Jerusalem do not shop with him" was written above the racist black-yellow logo of the So movement, in what is at the very least an attempt to gag mouths (and wallets), but as it turned out a few hours later - also a liberal boomerang that was thrown into the air, and above all stunned the couple with love and support.

"They are the parents of a good friend of ours," Roni Dori wrote on Facebook, "Yesterday they did not open the business because they went to Jerusalem to protest. They left a solid note on the door. This morning this thing was waiting for them under the door of the cafe. I don't want to write here what it is This reminds me, anyone with eyes can see and understand for themselves. There is nothing to add. I don't usually post on my Facebook, but Kfar Sabai - there is great coffee and pastries at 'Israela', Tschernihovski Street 16. Try it and you won't be disappointed."

"Processes".

Cafe "Israela"

Dori's call, and many other requests like it, flooded the social networks, and led to a more active customer traffic than usual in the cafe, in what gradually developed into an appropriate response against the attempt at intimidation and silencing.

"Ben Gabir's friends thought they could scare an elderly couple for going out to demonstrate on Monday in Jerusalem," Or Lyond later reported on Facebook, "They put a Nazi-style sign on their door with the Otzma Yehudit logo and a message of intimidation that they shouldn't go out to demonstrate anymore. Exciting To see how many good Israelis came to strengthen them. There is no food anymore, because the cute elderly couple did not expect such a hug from their people, but there is plenty of delicious coffee, even at a cheap price."

Other surfers mentioned favorably the warm attitude and even the cheesecakes, but most of them focused on the basic principle of brotherhood, solidarity and freedom of expression.

These, it seems, candidates are now in danger.

There is only one response against them.
