Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have broken their silence on the '
South Park
affair '.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were the subject of an acid description in a recent episode of the famous satirical cartoon.
In a succinct statement to several media, including Newsweek
magazine
, the couple indeed denied the rumor that they were preparing to sue the creators of the series.
"It's baseless and boring," they said through a spokesperson.

The princely couple is caricatured in a rather cruel way in this episode of the 26th season of the cult cartoon entitled
The Worldwide Privacy Tour
(The World Tour of Privacy).
The characters can be seen taking on their features, introduced as Prince and Princess of Canada, invited onto the television set, intending to promote a book called
Waaagh
, whose cover obviously resembles that of Prince Harry's memoir,
Spare
.
The two animated characters hold aloft signs with the messages: "We want privacy" and "stop staring at us."
The Canadian presenter then asks if, by writing about the royal family in this way, the prince has now become a journalist himself, despite his pronounced hatred for the profession.
"We just want to be normal people - all this attention is so hard," his wife replies in her place.
Meghan Markle 'upset and overwhelmed'
According to the British media
The Spectator
, the couple would have been angry at the sight of this episode.
Meghan Markle was even said to be "shattered and overwhelmed" to see herself portrayed as a "sorority girl, actress, influencer and victim".
She would have refused to watch the episode in its entirety, according to the same source.
The couple's lawyers, however, would monitor the show and possible new attacks from the creators against the Sussex couple.
