Ingredients

    • 500 grams of white beans

    • 2 tablespoons of oil

    • 1 chopped onion

    • 3 crushed garlic cloves

    • 2 liters

    • 1 can of canned chopped tomatoes (400 grams)

    • 1 box of tomato paste (100 grams)

    • Salt

    • black pepper

Preparation

How do you make beans in red sauce with rice?

  • 1 Place the beans in a bowl with plenty of water and soak overnight.

    Wash and filter.

  • 2 Heat the oil in a pot and fry the onion while stirring until nicely golden.

    Add the garlic, mix and fry for another minute.

  • 3 Add the water and beans to the pot and bring to a boil.

    Lower the flame, cover the pot and cook for about an hour to an hour and a half or until the beans soften.

  • 4 Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste to the pot and season with salt and black pepper.

    Bring to a boil and cook for another 10-20 minutes uncovered until the sauce thickens.

  • 5 Serve with cooked rice.
