A divine constellation converged this Tuesday evening towards the Opéra Garnier.
The stars of yesterday and today met to pay tribute to Patrick Dupond.
For this exceptional edition, José Martinez, the new director of dance, and Alexander Neef, the general director of the Opera, have indeed invited former stars such as Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Manuel Legris or Marie-Agnès Gillot to find yourself on the stage of the Palais Garnier.
Opening the gala, the traditional fashion show brought together all the dancers, from the youngest members of the École de danse to the stars, whose tutus and tiaras were signed Chanel.

by John Neumeier on piano music by Jean-Sébastien Bach, and
the Song of the wandering companion
by Maurice Béjart, magnificently interpreted by the stars Germain Louvet and Hugo Marchand .
The funds collected during the event will go to the benefit of the activities of the Arop.

On the VIP side, Vanessa Paradis, Lyna Khoudri, Anne Berest or Anamaria Vartolomei found themselves at the Chanel tables for dinner, served under the gilded fireplaces of the Palais Garnier.
A prodigy dancer from the Paris Opera
Trained at the Paris Opera School of Dance from an early age, Patrick Dupond became a prima ballerina in 1980, aged 21, and enjoyed adored star status for nearly a decade.
Then he took over the dance direction of the Paris Opera from 1990 to 1995, succeeding the great Rudolf Nureyev.

The eternal star thus worked with eminent dancers and the greatest choreographers of his time, such as Maurice Béjart, John Neumeier, Roland Petit and Alvin Ailey.
Over the course of a solar and dazzling career, the French dancer with a flamboyant personality has been able to shine on all continents, inspiring a whole generation of stars who see in him determination and ultimate grace.
A generous gala
Organized by Arop, the Association for the promotion of the Paris Opera, this event raised funds for the benefit of the institution's activities, in particular thanks to the exceptional support of Rolex, the watch of the National Opera. de Paris, Chanel, patron of the Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris, as well as the generosity of the donors of the honorary committee, made up of individuals and businesses alike.
