For years he has been sitting on the drums of the Mashina band and giving the lead, and now Iggy Dayan is coming out with his new project, "Hamad Avot", an album that consists of Israeli classics re-recorded with vocals and guitar.

The album was recently distributed on the international label Native DSD, and there it was ranked in the top ten bestseller list (the first Israeli album on this label).
It is now distributed in Israel on all platforms.
Among the songs recorded: "An Endless Meeting", "Brit Olam", "Autumn Spirit", "Evening Comes" and more.
What made you record an album with the classic songs of Eretz Israel?
"I work together with my partner, Tal Traevish, a sound man and producer who has not lived the mainstream worlds. He is constantly looking for the next thing. One day he asked me to play the guitar and sing, and I chose 'Mother Earth'. Not a performance I am proud of." , He laughs.
"Tal likes to hear things we do on a trip to the fields, and he listened and told me that he had never heard this song like that in his life, and that's how we started.
"Since I come from drums, from a young age I was drawn to places where prominent musicians were, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, for example, but the songs of Eretz Israel touched me and permeated me much deeper than I realized."

Many know you as the drummer of Mashina. There are no drums here, there is a guitar and completely different songs. This is another Iggy.
"Sleep is the main thing in everyone's life, but when I wake up in the morning in the room and don't go to rehearsal with sleep, there is Iggy who wants to make music. Then there is the other Iggy who you know less, who suddenly writes a book, who makes different music. It took me a long time to understand both These beings within me and live with them in harmony.
"The guitar was always there, because my two brothers are guitarists and I have been playing the guitar since I was a child. For many years I was in a situation where the quiet Iggy had to die so that the loud Iggy could live."
