(ANSA) - ISTANBUL, FEBRUARY 23 - The death toll from the earthquake that hit southeastern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6 has exceeded 50 thousand people.
In fact, at least 43,556 people died in the earthquake in Turkey, said Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, while in the affected regions of northern Syria about 6,700 people lost their lives, according to reports from doctors and officials.
The wounded, it is estimated, are over 120 thousand.
