In London the symposium of Italian students with authorities and VIPs

Italian students in the United Kingdom bring together the excellence of the peninsula in a three-day symposium at the prestigious London School of Economics.

The event, which opens on 28 February and then continues on 1 and 2 March, is organized by the United Italian Societies (Uis), the network of Italian students in Great Britain, with the aim of bridging the Present and future Made in Italy, and sees the Italian Embassy in London, the Consulate General and the Italian Cultural Institute as institutional partners.

The guests, belonging to various sectors, from the economy, to institutions and gastronomy, will share their experiences, advice and ideas on the future of Italy with young students entering the world of work.

The first of the three days is dedicated to the world of finance and economics.

Among the guests, the former Minister of Labor Elsa Fornero, who will discuss with the Deputy Director General of the Bank of Italy, Alessandra Perrazzelli, on the theme of sustainable growth and the reduction of the generation gap.

March 1 will instead be dedicated to politics and communication.

The guest of excellence was the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, followed by a panel of journalists and communication experts.

The second day of the UIS Italian Symposium will be closed by Mario Moretti Polegato, founder and president of Geox, who will explain how to be successful in the Italian entrepreneurial landscape.

Space for culture and sport instead on the third day, with gastronomy, football and the web at the centre.

They will hold a conversation on sustainability between the chefs Cristina Bowerman and Giorgio Locatelli, while the sports journalist Fabio Caressa and the digital entrepreneur Marco Montemagno will dialogue with the public.

To close, the former director of the International Monetary Fund, Senator Carlo Cottarelli.
