The short phase of Henrik Stoltenberg's reality TV celebrity seems to be coming to an end.

The streaming service RTL + and the production company Filmpool distance themselves from Stoltenberg and have decided to stop the current shoot with him.

The reason: Stoltenberg was sentenced to a fine of 15,000 euros by the Cologne district court on Wednesday for incitement to hatred and the use of anti-constitutional symbols.

As a fitness economics student, Henrik Stoltenberg applied to take part in the RTL 2 dating show “Love Island”.

In 2020, particular public attention was paid to the fact that he is the grandson of CDU politician Gerhard Stoltenberg (1928-2001), former Federal Minister (for Defence, Research and Finance) and Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein.

In 2021, Hendrik Stoltenberg was thrown out of the production of the show “Celebrities under Palm Trees”, according to “Bild” and “Berliner Kurier” there were threatening gestures towards fellow candidate Melanie Müller.

On Instagram he showed himself naked on a horse in 2022.

In the summer of 2022, Stoltenberg shouted Nazi slogans from the window of his Cologne apartment, as "Bild" reported.

Four weeks later he is said to have rioted on the street and made racist slogans.

A police officer said that he had refused to show his ID: "He told us that you have to know him and that he doesn't need to identify himself." In court he pointed out that he was very drunk, but he is not a racist: "I'm sorry about the whole thing now."

After the verdict, RTL reacted sharply: in addition to the current termination of production, all episodes in which Stoltenberg can be seen were also removed from the streaming service.

Neither the allegations nor the court date were known to the broadcaster and production company "up to the current reporting".

They attach "great importance to fairness and tolerance" and distance themselves "in all forms of discriminatory or insulting statements".
