The Princess of Wales has been considered a leading fashionista for many years, and over time her position has strengthened.

The clothing items she chooses are stolen from the shelves in a short time, in what has already been defined as the "Kate effect".

• Feel like a princess: we flew over Kate Middleton's look

In recent months we have noticed a small but significant change in the princess, and it is in the accessories sector.

Over the years, Middleton developed a distinct fashion style, and it usually included a pair of elegant and regal earrings in gold or silver, with inlays of diamonds, pearls, and other gems.

Little by little, almost without us feeling it, the princess started to incorporate more daring choices in her outfits, and we are flying at the idea.

Last Tuesday the princess came to visit the Oxford nursing home, and chose a winter block in the perfect colors of navy blue and camel.

The princess wore a navy cashmere turtleneck by Ralph Lauren, flared trousers in the same color by Roland Mouret, navy blue pointed heels, a small blue handbag with a gold clasp, and a max&co camel tie long wrap coat.

The highlight of the outfit came in the form of prominent blue button earrings with a delicate check pattern of gold stripes that stole the whole show.

Although the princess didn't invent the wheel of combining striking accessories with clean locks, we liked the new direction.

Just at the beginning of the week, the princess arrived at the British BAFTA awards ceremony accompanied by her husband, wearing a white ball gown by Alexander McQueen with gloves and a black velvet clutch bag. The show was stolen by a pair of earrings from the popular Zara brand at a cost of $27. The earrings, which included a cluster of flowers Gilded close to the ear and continued into a sort of small chain with leaves, they were large and stood out very much in the delicate block chosen by the princess.

In another case, at the end of January, the princess participated in the launch of a preschool reform, and although she chose a bold ensemble that included a red asymmetric suit, it was still the pair of earrings that drew attention.

It is a piece of chalk jewelry, which cost 70 euros.

The earrings in question are designed from geometric shapes in gold, pearl white and brown.

All in all, it looks like Middleton is going through a light style change, and we're totally in favor of the move, if anyone asks us.
