In mid-January, a money transporter was attacked in Saarlouis, Saarland.
The French judiciary investigated at least ten suspects.
All are in custody, the newspaper Le Parisien reported, referring to the judiciary.
Among them are two leading figures in organized crime in France.
Shortly after the crime in Saarlouis, five suspected perpetrators were arrested in the Paris area and two others near Lille.
French investigators seized 860,000 euros from the loot of 2.1 million euros.
The ten suspects are accused of organized gang theft with weapons, destruction by dangerous means and the formation of a criminal organization, reported "Le Parisien".
The investigation is headed by a special department of the Paris public prosecutor's office.
In the act at a crossroads in the Lisdorf district of Saarlouis, there was an exchange of fire and an explosion – the unknown had blown up the van and stolen cash.
The perpetrators then fled towards the French border.
The police assumed that the robbery was meticulously planned.
The perpetrators are said to have waited for the money transport and stopped it by ramming it with a car.
