The latest collections presented earlier this month at New York Fashion Week took it a step further, choosing to celebrate the liberated nipple with a variety of particularly creative and decorative interpretations.
Area revealed on the runway a golden corset made of metallic banana peels plus matching earring covers, Kim Shui turned the letter K that adorns many of her designs into a pair of jewels held by a string, and at designer Carly Mark, models wound up in corsets made of black laced threads on which were strategically placed an eye egg or red roses.
