Rihanna had not performed live for seven years, now the pop queen wants to sing at the Oscars after her spectacular halftime show at the Super Bowl.
The 35-year-old will present her hit “Lift Me Up” from the film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which was nominated for the “Best Song” category, the show organizers said.
The world's most important film awards will be presented in Hollywood on March 12 this year.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will moderate the event.
Rihanna is nominated for the first time.
Among other things, she competes with Lady Gaga and her song "Hold My Hand" from "Top Gun: Maverick" as well as the song "Naatu Naatu" from the Indian film "RRR", which is currently being treated as a favorite, for the Oscar.
Almost two weeks ago, Rihanna performed live for the first time in seven years at the final game of the US football league NFL – the so-called Super Bowl.
She presents a medley of her greatest hits from "Where Have You Been" to "Only Girl (In the World)".
She also revealed that she is pregnant again.
The singer from the Caribbean island of Barbados and her partner, the US rapper A$AP Rocky, became parents for the first time around nine months ago.
