The President of Belarus, Aleksander Lukashenko, will pay a state visit to China from February 28 to March 2, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
This was revealed by Beijing's Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying.
"China is willing to work with Minsk to deepen mutual political trust," Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang said in a telephone conversation yesterday with his Belarusian colleague Serghei Aleinik, Beijing revealed today.
Xi and Lukashenko, the latter a close ally of Moscow, met in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, at an international summit last year and the two announced an "unconditional" partnership.
