(ANSA) - CAMPOBASSO, FEBRUARY 25 - For the 2022 edition of the 'Fabrizio De André national literary prize', 87 works have been received which have proposed compositions, in prose and poetry, linked to the theme of the "War of men" in its horror of pain and laceration that suffocate, beyond the flag.

The prize, which is held in Pietracatella, in the province of Campobasso, has reached its ninth edition and over 1,100 works have been received in the nine years of the initiative's life.

The proposed works come from almost all regions of Italy.


    For the adult category: 41 poems, 28 texts for the narrative section.

For the student category: 9 compositions in poetry and 9 proposals for fiction.


    Molise is mostly represented, followed by Lazio, Campania, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Abruzzo and then regions such as Tuscany, Piedmont, Puglia, Veneto and Liguria, but also Sardinia, Marche, Umbria and Trentino.

The compositions will be evaluated by a technical jury made up of names and well-known faces in the Italian cultural scene, curators, educators and experts in the field of art, literature, prose and poetry, journalists and critics, university professors.


    Godfather and exceptional juror is the cartoonist and writer Vauro Senesi.

Among the jurors also Giobbe Covatta.

The literary prize Fabrizio De Andrè, born in 2014 from an idea of ​​some citizens of Pietracatella, enjoys the moral patronage of the Fabrizio De Andrè Onlus Foundation and in the various editions he has had the patronage of the De André "Parlare Musica" Prize, of the Molise Region and of the Municipality of Pietracatella .

The town of Molise has named a square after the singer-songwriter, inaugurated on the occasion of the first edition of the Award, on 7 June 2014, in the presence of DoriGhezzi.
