Jumped two places in the ranking:
the city of Beer Sheva
entered the opening five of the most sought-after cities for residence and investment for 2022 - this is according to an analysis of the Yad 2 website data for the past year's summary.

For comparison, in the 2021 ranking Beer Sheva took only sixth place with about 395 thousand unique searches.
Which cities are still in the top five?

Vared Zarfati, co-CEO of the Shimon Zarfati company
, explains that "the data reflect the boom in construction and development that the city of Beer Sheva is undergoing towards becoming the metropolis of the south.
Transportation accessibility to the city has improved significantly with the direct train line from Tel Aviv, it offers a variety of large employment centers that attract a young and high-quality population, the university in the city is a magnet for students from all over the country, some of whom stay to live in the city even after finishing their studies.
New neighborhoods are being built in the city that attract a significant part of the demand for apartments.
In addition, Beer Sheva as a whole currently offers reasonable apartment prices for every pocket, but at the same time, according to the Central Bank, prices there have jumped by more than 30% in the last decade, and may continue to rise in light of the high demand and the scarcity of land reserves in the city."
According to Dror Ohev Zion, CEO and owner of the Real Estate Marketing Company Dra
, "Haifa and Rishon Lezion are two very sought-after cities in recent years. Haifa is a city with tremendous potential, it has a beach, mountains, a university and the Technion, and other leading educational institutions, popular tourist sites, and more. In addition, apartment prices in Haifa have not risen as much as in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for example, and it offers much cheaper prices than both, in my opinion it is even underpriced.
Rishon Lezion is a huge volume that has been developing non-stop in recent years, and further development is expected in the years to come.
The city is positioned as a very high-quality city that sits on the sea, it has a multitude of employment and trade centers, high-level education and excellent transportation accessibility."
