In a message that went viral, he recounted how he discovered human parts in the entrails of a dogfish in Comodoro Rivadavia.

The area where the quadricycle and the helmet of

Diego Barría

(32) were found is characterized by a desert landscape facing the San Jorge Gulf, not far from Comodoro Rivadavia.

It is a long stretch of beach where there are scattered fishing posts and some small towns built in the old English style of plywood and wood, but already embedded in the geography.

The silence is barely interrupted by the sound of the waves.

When someone disappears in this geography, the police of the province and the rescuers in general harbor dark hypotheses.

There isn't much to choose from.

On one side the sea and on the other the desert, both seem infinite.

Touring these places on a quad can be a rewarding and unique action for tourists, but also for those who live in the south.

Barría was not a neophyte in this type of tour and not a few of his photographs on social networks show him on top of suitable vehicles by the sea or on the dunes generated by the wind when pushing the sand.

The last time he saw the oil worker was on Saturday, February 18 at 11:30 p.m., when he stopped by to greet some friends and described his journey to them.

never heard from him again.

That same night he was to arrive at a ranch located in the Puerto Visser sector, some 48 kilometers from Comodoro Rivadavia.

Diego Alejandro Barría (32) died in Chubut.

Some fishermen found his remains in a dogfish.

After he was reported missing, teams from the Chubut police, the Persons Search Division, Civil Defense and the Commodore and Criminalistics Regional Unit raked the vast sector that goes from Rocas Coloradas to Puerto Visser in 4x4 trucks.

Theories went off as time went on and there was no more sign of the young man.

Finally, the four-wheeler Yamaha Raptor de Barría was found.

He was showing signs of rolling over and his seat had come off.

The helmet was meters from the vehicle.

Two indications that did and still do imagine an accident.

As far as is known, he also carried a backpack with clothes.

Barría's story took a dramatic turn when on Saturday morning two fishermen showed up at the premises of the Naval Prefecture of Caleta Córdova and recounted an event more typical of fiction films.

In their version, they were fishing in the sector and had captured 3 dogfish, also known as "mini sharks" because their top size reaches 2 meters.

In this case, the specimens measured approximately 1.50.

They usually feed on other fish such as mackerel, horse mackerel and sardines and have sharp triangular teeth.

One of the fishermen elaborated on his story before the police and explained that he had opened one of the dogfish.

Inside it he discovered parts of a human body.

By scrutinizing more carefully, the fisherman was able to identify

skin that contained a tattoo of green, red and pink colors

and outlined a legend that was difficult to understand.

The athletes spent several hours telling how and where they had caught the sharks before the incredulous eyes of the agents.

Their WhatsApp dialogue began to circulate in Comodoro Rivadavia.

I was so unlucky that I found it myself

.

I went fishing and I start to open the shark's belly and

I found a forearm with a tattoo

, ”says one of the fishermen in an alleged message that is already viral and was published by Diario Jornada.

“We raised things, we came to Caleta Prefecture and yes, it was him,” he adds.

“We caught that one at 8:30, at 9 we picked up everything and went to Caleta.

We told him what happened,

we handed him the bag with the human remains

.

Then they handed me a photo with the forearm with a rose that said

'Josefina'

, I showed it to the Prefecture and he said yes, it was him”, he closes.

The police version indicated the presence of "dermis, fat and human flesh" in the viscera of the shark, while they spotted "a pink, green and red tattoo with an illegible inscription" that the relatives immediately recognized.

The local police were clear that it could be an accident that ended in the worst possible way.

In the hours of the night of that day there was a tidal wave and it was able to take the inert body of the young man out to sea.

“We handle two hypotheses: one that he was injured according to what we shared with the Police and the other that has more weight, is that, due to the impact according to the state of the quadricycle and the helmet, it is that he was unconscious on the coast and that that large high

tide has 'put' it inwards

”, indicated José Mazzei, Undersecretary of Civil Protection, over the weekend.

Barría was a stocky man of 1.85 meters and worked as an operator at Viento Sur, a firm dedicated to oil services in the province and with offices in Rada Tilly.

He had a wife, Virginia Brugger, and three children.

His partner, who during all these days kept hoping to hear him return on his moped, left a devastating message on the networks.

"My heart went with you.

I love you forever,” she wrote.
