Fireman Ali Cakas just manages to save it.

Since then it hasn't left his side.

The kitten spent a total of 129 hours among the rubble of a collapsed house in the city of Nurdagi in the Turkish province of Gaziantep.

While fireman Ali Cakas desperately searches for survivors, he discovers the helpless little creature.

Ali and his colleagues immediately take care of the black and white tomcat and provide him with water and food.

The rescue team hopes to be able to rescue the cat's owner.

But unfortunately they are unsuccessful.

Ali decides not to leave the cat alone.

"We quickly became friends.

We both had a difficult time.

We will get through this trauma by hugging each other," he told the

When Ali leaves for his place of residence, which is around 400 kilometers away, he takes the cat home with him.

He gives it the name Enkaz (dt: rubble).

The cat enjoys being with his new family.

He is particularly fond of cuddling together.

"My mother, my father, my brothers and sisters support me," says Ali.
