"What to put in your sandwich"?
is the question that is asked every morning in almost every home with children in Israel.
There are those who plan in advance by days, there are those who spend two weeks on the same sandwich and with us it is served as food for thought between brushing your teeth and leaving the house.
Omelet is only in pita, toast in a bagel and tuna in a bun.
This time I decided to surprise my daughters with pizza rolls.
Soft rolls that, during the rolling of the dough, are filled with a filling of tomato sauce, cheese and olives.
You can prepare in advance and they keep wonderfully.
Also great for dinner or a picnic.

Preparation
How do you make pizza rolls?
1 Place all the dough ingredients in the mixer bowl according to the crack of their appearance (salt and oil at the end) and mix until a uniform and slightly sticky dough is obtained.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least an hour and a quarter or until it doubles in volume.
2 Divide the dough into 6 or 7 equal parts.
Roll each piece, spread tomato sauce, sprinkle cheese and olives or another addition.
3 Fold the dough once on each side and close into a strip.
Cut the strip and roll each half into a snail-shaped bun - a total of 12-14 buns. Place in a pan lined with baking paper and let rise for at least half an hour or until the buns are puffed.
4 In the meantime, heat the oven to 190 degrees.
After the buns have risen, brush with egg and bake them for about half an hour until nicely golden.
Pick up one of them to make sure the bottom is baked properly.
To know that there is no cavity left in the dough and it is not baked, tap on it - if a sound comes out, they are ready.
5 Allow the buns to cool before eating.
You can warm it up a little before serving.
