(ANSA) - PARIS, FEBRUARY 28 - Swedish director Ruben Ostlund, two-time Palme d'Or winner, will be president of the jury at the Cannes 2023 festival. The announcement was made official today by the organizers.
Ostlund, 48, won the event just last year with his "Triangle of sadness" which also garnered three nominations at next month's Oscars.
The filmmaker, who had also won the Palmad'Or five years earlier with "The Square", said he was "happy, proud and humble to have been given the honour" of leading the competition jury, exactly 50 years after his compatriot and international cinema icon Ingrid Bergman.
