In the coming days, Snapchat will offer subscribers of its premium Snap+ service (3.99 euros per month) the opportunity to chat with a user of a very special kind: My AI.
“My AI can give you gift ideas for your best friend, plan a weekend hike, or suggest a cooking recipe. You can personalize it by giving it a name”
, indicates the Snap group in a press release.
"The idea behind this feature is that soon we'll be talking to AIs every day just like we talk to our families and friends
," Snap CEO Evan Spiegel told The Verge.
If My AI is reminiscent of ChatGPT, the conversational robot with more than 100 million users, it is not by chance.
Snap uses the same underlying technology, the GPT-3.5 language model, which it leases from California-based OpenAI.
