2023-02-28T22:46:10.394Z

The incidents occurred between February 16 and 27. In all it was the same aircraft model. In the networks, several users expressed their concern.

Four flights of the Flybondi

company

suffered changes in their air routes in the last days of February, due to technical and meteorological problems, but despite the alarm on social networks, both the company and sources linked to aviation control agencies rule out that incidents come out of the expected for an airline.

The low-cost company Flybondi registered changes in its routes, both at the time of departure and landing, on

four flights, which occurred on February 16, 17, 25 and 27

.

In all cases, the aircraft model was a Boeing 737-8U3.

Flybondi told

Clarín

that, despite the inconveniences, the flights were carried out without cancellations and that the changes were mostly due to "technical problems."

"One of the flights saw its arrival airport affected by meteorological issues that that day had an impact on the operation of most airlines," they pointed out.

"At Flybondi we operate with a standardized fleet of Boeing 737-800 NG and with the highest safety standards, for this reason the flights could be carried out effectively and carrying out all the regulatory procedures," the airline stated.

And they continued: "Beyond the fact that in recent weeks other airlines that operate in Argentina have also seen their operations affected by similar issues, it is perceived that when it comes to a plane from any of the low cost airlines there is some animosity about what could have happened. Regardless of the market in question, aviation is one of the safest modes of transportation in the world."

Along the same lines, sources close to the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) assured

Clarín

that the February problems that Flybondi had

"are within the parameters of what is feasible for Argentina and the world"

and clarified that "the The average number of incident reports is very even among the national airlines that operate in the Argentine Republic".

The February flights

"Che, this is the fourth time that the same thing has happened to this plane in 10 days, it's already worrying," a Twitter user commented this week, referring to a Flybondi Boeing 737-8U3 that was going to Puerto Iguazú this Monday. from Buenos Aires and returned to the Ezeiza airport for unknown reasons.

Flybondi flight 5104 took off this

Monday, February 27

at 3:07 p.m. from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery

bound for Puerto Iguazú

, where the arrival time was estimated for 4:50 p.m.

However, the aircraft turned around at the approximate height of Entre Ríos and landed in Ezeiza after staying in the air for about 40 minutes.

A Flybondi flight on February 27, 2023 that was headed to Iguazú returned to Ezeiza to the surprise of the passengers.

It was a Flybondi Boeing 737-8U3, registration LV-KEG, reported Twitter user Sebastián Polito, from the Vuelos y Spotters account (@spottersarg), who clarifies that he does not know the reasons for the change of route.

Two days earlier, on Saturday February 25, Flybondi flight 5950, which had taken off at 1.57 from Ezeiza heading to Florianópolis, returned to the Ezeiza airport after about 45 minutes in the air, according to the FlightRadar24

site

.

It also happened with a Boeing 738-8U3, registration LV-KEG, according to

FlightRadar24

Eight days earlier, on February 17, Flybondi flight FO5900, which had left Ezeiza for Rio de Janeiro at 6:20 a.m., circled 16 times over the city of La Plata, according to the specialized site Flightaware, before landing again at Ministro Pistarini airport more than two hours later, at 8:47.

"Does anyone know anything?" residents of La Plata asked when they saw the plane flying in circles for so long, reports the newspaper

El Día

, which attributes the flight time to a maneuver prior to an emergency landing.

It is that, an airplane should never exceed the maximum weight allowed for landing, which is less than what it supports on takeoff.

One option to release cargo is to dispose of the fuel by releasing it into the air, when no other aircraft are in the air, or by burning it in the course of the flight, as would have occurred in this circling flyover.

On February 16, Flybondi flight F05121 left Posadas with a delay and was descending to land at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires, when to the surprise of those passing through the Costanera it rose again.

The aircraft was also a Boeing 737-8U3.

It dropped at 4:46 p.m. to 425 feet (130 meters), as recorded by the

FlightRadar

page , and then rose to 3,350 feet (1,020 meters) to fly over the Río de la Plata.

At 5:03 p.m., it entered through the north of Greater Buenos Aires for a second landing attempt, but again the pilot aborted the maneuver.

Instead of flying over the river, this time the aircraft went south, to the Bosques area, and there it returned to the northwest to land at the Ministro Pistarini International Airport, in Ezeiza, where it arrived at 5:28 p.m., an hour and a half after provided.

From Flybondi they assured that it was an "approach procedure in adverse weather" due to the entry of cold air that entered Buenos Aires with winds of about 30 kilometers per hour.

That day,

an Aerolíneas Argentinas Boeing 737-8SH

also had a "botched landing."

Flight AR1818, from El Calafate, descended to 850 feet (260 meters) at 5:46 p.m., gave up and flew over the Río de la Plata until trying again, in a second attempt that was already successful.
