The US actor, entertainer and singer David Hasselhoff has canceled his planned tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland this spring due to illness.
"Unfortunately, I have a serious eye infection that makes it impossible for me to put on such a show that you all deserve," the 70-year-old was quoted as saying in a statement distributed by Hamburg concert promoter River Concerts.
Hasselhoff wanted to perform under the title "Party your Hasselhoff" in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Düsseldorf, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Graz and Schladming.
The tour should start on March 15th in Regensburg.
Speaking about the canceled events, the 'Knight Rider' and 'Baywatch' star said: "It was meant to be dancing, singing and partying - something that has become more important than ever - we put on a beautiful show that would have wowed everyone «.
Now he has to cancel with a heavy heart.
Tickets that have already been paid for can be refunded to fans.
The singer, best known for the song "Looking for Freedom", ended the published statement with the words: "I'll be back."
