(ANSA) - TOKYO, MARCH 01 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange begins the session slightly lower, reflecting the trend on Wall Street, with investors anticipating new monetary tightening by the Federal Reserve.
At the opening, the Nikkei recorded a negative variation of 0.26% at 27,374.70, losing 70 points.
On the foreign exchange market, the yen traded at its lowest against the dollar in two months, at a level of 136.30, and against the euro at 144.10.
