The minister also addressed the issue of preparing for an earthquake in relation to the public housing in Beit Shean and said: "Together with the mayor, I also toured the areas where there is public housing and updated him on the activities being carried out in the ministry to strengthen these buildings against earthquakes. In the emergency discussion I held about three weeks ago, I guided the professionals in the ministry to act intensively in order to complete the reinforcements required for that".
Furthermore, Goldknopf said regarding the agreement signed today, "This is an important and welcome agreement led by the Ministry of Construction and Housing for the expansion of the city of Beit Shean.
