(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 02 - The Ukrainian army has repulsed more than 170 Russian attacks in five areas in the last 24 hours in northeastern and eastern Ukraine: the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kiev announced in its report newspaper about the situation at the front.

Russia also launched 14 rocket attacks against civilian infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Poltava and Donetsk regions, as well as 21 air strikes and 58 multiple rocket launch attacks.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 16 strikes on areas where Russian troops and equipment were located.
Ukrainian forces also launched rocket and artillery attacks targeting two Russian ammunition depots and three other key sites.
Russian forces have fortified the area of Russia's Belgorod region bordering Ukraine with anti-tank barriers, the Ukrainian Army General Staff said on Facebook in its daily report, as reported by Ukrainian media.
“In the border areas of the Belgorod region, the enemy continues to equip the land, install anti-tank barriers,” the report said.
The Russians, the Army points out, are using the territory of the Belgorod region to bomb nearby Kharkiv and the region of the same name.
