(ANSA) - MOSCOW, MARCH 03 - Belarus has sentenced Nobel Prize winner and activist Ales Bialiatski to 10 years: the human rights center Viasna, which he founded, announced it.
Viasna said in a statement that the 60-year-old was convicted of smuggling and financing "activities that seriously violate public order".
Bialiatski, along with other representatives of the human rights center, has been in prison since July 2021, the trial began in January.
