(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, MARCH 03 - "My personal story, dating back to the 1970s, completely unknown to my co-defendants, has nothing to do with the facts for which I was judged and convicted. They have no political origin. The sentences of the Court of Assizes of Pesaro, Rimini and Bologna have faithfully reconstructed the story".
Roberto Savi, head of the Uno Bianca gang, told ANSA through his defender, lawyer Donatella De Girolamo, after the news of the statements made to the prosecutors a year ago, in which attacks were attributed to Rimini in the 1970s, in the context of an activism in far-right movements.
"Through my defender, I have expressed my intention to give an interview to Cantiere Bologna. Dr. Giampiero Moscato (director of the online magazine, ed.) forwarded the request to the prison management, but I received no response. Although 29 years have passed since my arrest, with every evidence does not want to give me a voice", added Savi.
The former policeman, detained in Bollate where he is serving a life sentence, has been in prison since 1994 when he was arrested with the other members of the criminal group, including the brothers Fabio and Alberto: the gang killed 23 people and injured over 100 between Bologna, Romagna and the Marches .
