extreme temperatures are expected for the City of Buenos Aires and the suburbs
or Buenos Aires with maximum temperatures that will be close to 33 degrees.
Faced with this strong heat wave that has been going on for several days, the National Meteorological Service (SMN)
launched a red level alert.
According to the latest report on extreme temperatures issued by the agency, the city registers
temperatures of 33 degrees with a wind chill of 36.8.
Similarly, in the southern zone of Greater Buenos Aires the affected areas are Almirante Brown, Avellaneda, Berazategui, Florencia Varela, Lanús, Lomas de Zamora, Presidente Perón and Quilmes, where temperatures are forecast to exceed 34 degrees, with a sensation thermal of 37.
Other areas affected by high temperatures are Berisso, Ensenada and La Plata with 31.4, and 33.3 of thermal sensation, San Vicente 31.6 and west of Magdalena with almost 36 degrees.
The service also indicated that the alert applies to Brandsen, Cañuelas, Saladillo, Roque Perez, Navarro, Monte, Lobos, Las Flores, General Paz, General Belgrano, General Alvear, La Matanza and Esteban Echeverria.
The same is predicted for Merlo and Ezeiza, which will have temperatures of 33.2 and 34.3, respectively, with thermal sensations that exceed 34 degrees.
Hot days with partly cloudy skies are expected for the weekend.
Saturday will have minimum temperatures of 24 degrees and maximum of 33, with the possibility of rain between the morning and afternoon.
On Sunday, meanwhile, it will be mostly clear with a minimum of 23 degrees and a maximum of 31.
