The Prosecutor of Brescia has ordered the seizure of an area of the monumental cemetery of Brescia as part of the investigation into the mass exhumation of the tombs of unborn fetuses or of children who lived shortly after birth.
In the investigation by prosecutor Antonio Bassolino, two municipal officials are under investigation.
The disputed crimes are violation of the sepulcher and contempt of tombs and corpses.
The story caused a stir in 2021 because most families were not notified of the exhumation and you only find out in the cemetery that the graves, removed with an excavator, were no longer there.
