(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, MARCH 03 - The US has imposed sanctions on three Russian magistrates accused of serious human rights violations against Russian opponent Vladimir Kara-Murza, arrested last year after he spoke out against the war in Ukraine.
The measures of the Treasury Department hit ElenaAnatolievna Lenskaya, Andrei Andreevich Zadachin and DanilaYurievich Mikheev for violating the Magnitsky law.
Kara-Murza, who has British and Russian citizenship, was a close associate of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, who was shot dead in Moscow in 2015. (ANSA).
